A Sun Angel

Sun Angel
I jumped right out of my Postcard Journal this week. I had to.

I couldn't take  Norah'S stomping her feet and the pounding in my heart, head and soul.

Even still, I managed to video the painting process for my talented, wonderful, eager, fun students.  It was the organic (impromptu) nature of the class that I envisioned.  Fun!

Actually, I was inspired by the face that I started for this weeks postcard challenge.  I listened and followed the whisper which felt more like feet stomping, heart and head pounding and screaming rather than a little whisper.  Glad I listened.

  3. She is very beautiful and intriguing. I have been watching your videos as you painted her and am enjoy them so much. Also learning lots! How did she start? As an image in your head or inspired by a photo or piece of art of someone else's? Just curious. She is so unique and different. Love her!

  6. Sharon, you know, you just continue to amaze me with your art and beautiful, sometimes even funny, paintings. I've watched you steadily grow in huge leaps and bounds, figuring things and methods out with Norahs jabbing along the way. At the same time you are teaching (those of us who are teachable...ahem), working a desk job, tending a house and yard, traveling and entertaining, to say nothing of a mishap here and there. The slow transformation from quirky faces that grabbed our heart to now almost perfect portrait style just amazes me.I say slow but it seems like it only took months! I kind of miss the quirky but thoughtful fun faces that brought so many smiles and yet this new style is still quite fetching, also! You are such a 'wonder' and yes, to me, you are high up on that pedestal!
