Sister Friends in progress

This may take me f.o.r.e.v.e.r.
But mostly because I did something weird to my back some days ago and can't stay with it very long at a time.
I adjourn to the chair zone ..... a lot.

And then there is Monday-Wash day.

I will leave you with the pictures to scrutinize the changes.

Are you painting along with me?
I think you should.
Enough for today.

    1. Janie, my napkin stash is huge and I'm needing another tub to put the overflow in. That is because I haven't been using them much. I thought this gigantic canvas would be a good time. I'm sending you some special Funk-away and hoping it will arrive with some Energy-booster too. Go pull out one of those big canvases and start. Also, did you notice that I'm not using the whole napkin but tearing it into little pieces. Try it.

    2. yes, i knew you were not using the whole napkin......i was introduced to the napkin technique in your on-line class where we did the 4x4 girls with the house transfer behind her... that's when i first started to collect napkins...... i love the idea and the results of the napkins..... :) i might have to pull out the canvas..... you painting this big has peaked my interest.......

  5. I think it's coming along nicely, Sharon. I like that you darkened the background to make the sisters stand out.

    1. You know I decided the colors I laid down in the beginning were to guide me to the napkin colors. Then I could "let go" of them in the background. It is still evolving. Thanks

  6. Loving this.

I enjoy the comfort of a heat pack for my aching back.
A professional massage is extra nice.

    1. Thank you Sue, I am short one and today have to pull down the napkin tubs and search. It is fun to touch my treasures but sometimes ...they explode.

    1. Thanks, I saw your new piece with mother and daughters. Wondering if it is big.

    2. It isn't huge at all - it's 16"x20" but I'm doing a multiple figured piece that is 20"x30" in the same theme... you inspired me to paint along with you!!!! Although mine isn't as creatively dramatic as your beautiful piece and it's more in line with my Mother Daughter piece... it's multiple figures which I'm just gonna love. I know your piece is so big... But I'm finding these little bitty faces and tiny detail work a pure joy to do!!!

  10. Your piece is coming along nicely. I'm struck by the eyes that are already painted in. Somehow I always do the eyes last. Hope your back mends and you can be comfortable painting.

    1. Darla, I don't always start with the eyes. Actually, I don't seem to do the same way twice. I'm always changing up. Back seems better as long as I'm sitting in the chair with the heating pad.
